The primary responsibility of the Recorder's Office is to record, index and maintain all documents transferring land in Henry County. Our land records, which begins in the mid 1800's, establishes legal ownership to land and protects landholder's rights. In addition to documents related to land such as deeds, mortgages, liens, trusts, and easements, we also record (DD-214) discharge documents for our veterans. With our records going back so many years, there is a wealth of information for historians and genealogists.
