1. Pursuant to a call signed by thirteen members (being more than ½ the members of said Board), which was duly received and filed by the Clerk of said Board on the 14th day of July, 2009, and due notice having been given by the Clerk by publication in a newspaper published in the County of Henry in words and figures as follows:

2. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tom Nicholson.
3. The meeting was opened with a prayer by Chaplain JoAnne Hillman after which the pledge of allegiance to the flag was given.

5. Member Jim Kursock moved to approve the agenda of the August 11, 2009 County Board meeting and amend by deleting item 6B; and by changing Communications report given by Jerry Thompson instead of Jim Eccher. Member Jerry Thompson seconded the motion.

6. Member Jim King moved to approve and place on file the July 14, 2009 County Board meeting minutes and amend by changing paragraph 26 to read as follows: from December 1, 2008 through November 30, 2011. Member Tom Steele seconded the motion.

Member Jan May moved to approve and place on file the monthly reports of the Bi-State Regional Commission, Veteran’s Assistance Commission, County Clerk/Recorder monthly fee report, Henry County Health Department, Henry County Economic Development Partnership, and the Tourism Bureau.
