Pursuant to a call signed by thirteen members (being more than ½ the members of said Board), which was duly received and filed by the Clerk of said Board on the 14th day of November, 2006, and due notice having been given by the Clerk by publication in a newspaper published in the County of Henry in words and figures as follows:"You are hereby notified that the County Board of Henry County will meet in ORGANIZATIONAL SESSION on Monday, December 4, 2006, at 6:00 P.M. Said meeting will be held in the COUNTY BOARD ROOM, Judicial Wing, Room 102J, Henry County Courthouse in the Village of Cambridge, Illinois.

Cambridge, Illinois ______ November 27, 2006______ Notice is hereby given that the County Board of Henry County will meet in ORGANIZATIONAL SESSION at the hour of 6:00 P.M. on Monday, December 4, 2006. Said meeting will be held in the FIRST FLOOR JUDICIAL WING in the Henry County Courthouse in the Village of Cambridge, Illinois.
A certificate of mailing said notice being on file, the Henry County Board of the County of Henry and State of Illinois, convened in ORGANIZATIONAL SESSION in the FIRST FLOOR JUDICIAL WING in the Henry County Courthouse in the Village of Cambridge, in the County and State aforesaid, on Monday, the 4th day of December, 2006 at 6:00 P.M.
2. The meeting was called to order by Barb Link, Henry County Clerk/Recorder.
3. The meeting was opened with a prayer by JoAnne Hillman, after which the pledge of allegiance to the flag was given.

Clerk Link swore in the newly elected and re-elected County Board Members as follows: Dennis Anderson, Jon Bloomberg, Jesse Crouch, Ann DeSmith, JoAnne Hillman, Jim King, Jan May, Betty Murphy, Rich Nordstrom, Jerry Thompson and John Sovanski.5. Clerk Link opened the floor for nominations for a Temporary Chairman to preside over the Organizational Meeting.
6. Member John Sovanski nominated Member Tom Steele as Temporary Chairman. Clerk Link asked for further nominations three times, and having none Clerk Link asked for those in favor of Tom Steele to preside as Temporary Chairman to vote "Aye", oppose "Naye". All members unanimously voting, "Aye".
Motion Carried Via Voice Vote.
7. Member Tom Steele presided as Temporary Chairman and explained the procedures of nominating the County Board Chairman.
8. Clerk Link called the Roll. Twenty-one members present: J. Bloomberg, J. Crouch, J. Eccher, J. Hillman, R. Livesay, B. Murphy, T. Nicholson, P. Ripperger, D. Anderson, J. King, R. Nordstrom, T. Steele, M. Swanson, M. Weber, A. DeSmith, R. Grafton, J. Kursock, J. May, R. Salisbury, J. Sovanski and J. Thompson. Three members were absent: K. Cauwels, M. Gradert and T. Sturtevant.
9. Temporary Chairman Tom Steele appointed Barbara Link, County Clerk, to serve as Recording Clerk for the Organizational Meeting.
10. Temporary Chairman Tom Steele asked for nominations for County Board Chairman.
11. Member Jan May nominated Tom Nicholson as County Board Chairman.
12. Temporary Chairman Tom Steele asked for further nominations three times and having none, Member James Eccher moved by acclamation for Member Tom Nicholson to serve as County Board Chairman. Member John Sovanski seconded the motion.
Motion Carried Via Voice Vote.
13. Member Tom Steele opened the floor for nominations for County Board Vice Chairman.
14. Member Pat Ripperger nominated Member John Sovanski as Vice Chairman.
15. Temporary Chairman Tom Steele asked for further nominations three times, and having none, Member Ron Salisbury moved by acclamation for Member John Sovanski to serve as County Board Vice Chairman. Member James Kursock seconded the motion.
Motion Carried Via Voice Vote.
16. Member Tom Nicholson presided as Henry County Board Chairman and Member John Sovanski presided as Henry County Board Vice Chairman.
17. Chairman Tom Nicholson gave a few remarks as newly elected County Board Chairman. Henry County Board Committee appointments were passed out and reviewed.
18. Member James Eccher made a motion to accept the Henry County Board Committee Appointments as recommended. Member James Kursock seconded the motion.
