Ethanol production in our area is fast becoming a reality. Responding to incidents, especially fires, at ethanol production facilites will require special equipment and materials. According to a study done in February, 2007 by the Ethanol Emergency Response Coalition, AR-AFFF (Alcohol-Resistant, Aqueous Film-Forming Foam) was the only type of foam agent to effectively extinguish an ethanol fire. This page will be updated as new information becomes available.
