The Henry County Board consists of 24 elected  officials who represent three districts covering the  County. Members are elected to serve staggered  2 and 4 year terms. The Board meets once per  month on the second Tuesday*. In addition, each  board member serves on various committees, which  meet at least once monthly.

* Unless Election Day or Township Meeting Day falls on  the second Tuesday, in which case the County Board
 meets on the third Tuesday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The board has many functions: as a taxing authority, an employer, a property manager and a provider of services.  An overview of board authority includes:
