Henry County State's Attorney

WELCOME FROM HENRY COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY
 TERENCE M. PATTON

Welcome to the web page of the Henry County State's Attorney’s Office.  The purpose of this web page is to familiarize you with the functions and services offered by the five attorneys and six staff members working for you, the People of Henry County.

The primary responsibility of the Henry County State's Attorney is to represent you – the People – in all criminal cases filed in Henry County.  It is the duty of the State’s Attorney to seek justice, not merely to convict.  To achieve this end, we prosecute each case with the goals of obtaining restitution for the victim, punishing the offender for his or her criminal conduct, and rehabilitating the offender to return him or her to useful citizenship.

The State’s Attorney is also the attorney for Henry County and its officers and employees.  The State’s Attorney provides legal advice to the various elected officials and department heads, and represents the County in legal matters.
