Community Involvement

Each December, our department participates in various activities designed to raise public awareness of the dangers of impaired driving.  For several years, the Court Services staff has decorated the trees in front of the Courthouse to represent the number of people killed in Illinois as a result of alcohol related crashes. 

Beginning in December and usually lasting through February, staff from our department along with a representative from the Illinois State Police speaks to several drivers’ education classes at local high schools regarding the dangers of drinking and driving.   

 Members of our staff currently serve on various local community boards.  We also participate as requested in such activities as DARE, teen conferences, drug task force meetings and Local Area Network (LAN) meetings.
