Leash Law

There is no leash law in Henry County, but many towns and villages have their own ordinances. The Henry County Animal Control feels that pets should be leashed at all times unless confined on or within the owner’s property. If the pet becomes stray it can become impounded and the owner can be ticketed and pay for the release of the animal, or worse, it could be involved in a bite incident or hit by a vehicle.

If you have a persistent problem with an animal coming onto your property please contact the Henry County Animal Control to report the problem.
