NOTICE OF TESTING


The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Merit

Commission are accepting applications at the Henry

County Sheriff’s Office for testing to create an eligibility

roster for a position in the Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy

Patrol Division.


Applications may be obtained at the Henry County Sheriff’s

Office, 311 West Center St., Cambridge, IL 61238 or

download an application from henrycty.com (Sheriff’s

Office then to Employment)


Basic Qualifications:  21 years of age; US Citizen: High

School Graduate or the equivalent; must reside in Henry

County within 6 months of appointment; two or more years

of college with degree or certification from accredited college

and/or Honorable discharge from United States Military (copies

of all diplomas/certifications and/or DD-214 required with

application; good physical condition; possess a valid Illinois

driver license; MUST NOT have a criminal record. Other

components of the testing process include an extensive background

investigation, power test, written examination, oral examination,

psychological examination, and a pre-employment physical.

Those candidates whose applications are accepted will

receive notification of the testing dates and times. Attendance and

a passing score are mandatory for all phases of the testing in order

to be eligible for subsequent testing.

Deadline for applications will be Friday, May 12, 2017
